One of the things we thought our group could improve upon after we shot our film opening, was to get a better idea of where we would shoot our project. Previously, we didn't take into account the exact spaces where we wanted to shoot our film and although we were still efficient with our time on the day, the production would've run smoother if we'd have visited the location before hand.
We begun with discussing what exactly we were looking for and what kind of natural locations we wanted. After researching a little into the public image of our artist, we established that most of the photos on her website were of her in natural areas often in trees. She's also environmentally active and the theme of nature runs strongly throughout most of her albums.
Primarily, we made a list of possibble areas where we might film and talked about our ideal locations. We actually thought Burnham Beeches would be most suitable for our music video, but after having visited Langley and Black Park (which are esentially next door to one another) I think we've postponed the visit to Burnham Beeches. This is mainly because we believe the discovery of something drastically different to what we've discovered in Black and Langley Park is unlikely, and we should prbably move onto researching our other indoor location.
We envisioned shots of our performer interweaving through clusters of trees similar to this photo |
We also considered intercutting different colse ups of the surrounding nature in with the perofrming shots. |
Finally another idea that we came up with was various shots of our "Amanda" interweaving through some sort of branch structure. |
